Why am I a Mortgage Loan Specialist? Call it old school experience, and lots of it.
My mom was a mortgage underwriter and as such, my summers were often spent earning money answering phones or typing applications. I started in this business out of high school many years ago. I learned how to originate, process, underwrite, fund, a small portion of servicing and one time learned how and helped negotiate a FNMA contract. I learned the art of this business back when interest rates were 13% for a new 1st trust deed mortgage.
Now I do mortgage loans mostly be referral. With my vast experience, I realize that anyone can learn to get someone a loan. The questions should be; Will they care if they can afford it? Will they answer questions about the true costs not just costs mandated to be disclosed? Will they listen to what the borrower wants or ask the right questions for what may fit their goals?
That is what you get with me, a 25+ year experienced loan specialist.
